Jamaica is celebrating National Heroes’ Day and this is a great reminder of who propelled the country to move forward. 

But not all heroes wear cape or start a rebellion. During COVID 19 pandemic it became very clear that doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers are our superheroes, too. Moreover, other essential workers like teachers and farmers made a significant impact on the society during this difficult time and they continue to make small miracles on a daily basis. 

Besides, all of us have heroes in our lives: it can be a parent you look up to, a sibling you admire, a friend or even a stranger. Heroes’ Day is a perfect time to acknowledge and show appreciation to the heroes in your life.
